Get Involved At every level of its operations, the National Philharmonic gratefully relies on its supporters—loyal subscribers, a dedicated Board of Directors, corporate sponsors, generous contributors, and enthusiastic volunteers. Friends of National Philharmonic Friends of National Philharmonic, Inc. ("Friends") is a not-for-profit organization assisting the National Philharmonic with fundraising and audience development, as well as educational programs. "Friends" also coordinates volunteers lending a hand with the National Philharmonic's programs and activities. Volunteer opportunities include general office support and event planning and implementation. Make a Contribution Revenue from tickets and other earned revenue sources covers only a fraction of the costs of presenting performances and providing educational programs. Each year, the National Philharmonic relies on many generous contributors to assist the Philharmonic through monetary contributions.
