Joan Fidler

Joan Fidler is a long time resident of Montgomery County where she lives with her husband and where her three sons grew up. Her career has been in public service starting in India as a member of the Indian Administrative Service and ending in retirement as head of Bilateral Affairs in the Office of International Affairs with the US Environmental Protection Agency. She has also held positions at the Department of Commerce and the DC Government. After retirement, she served as president of the Montgomery County Taxpayers League for 10 years where she is currently a member of the board. She is also on the board of the Jubilee Association which focuses on residential services and supports for the developmentally disabled. She has master’s degrees in Public Administration and English Literature.
