Ruth W. Faison

Secretary

Ruth spent thirty-one years teaching (Ethics, World Religions, Bible classes, Service Learning), coaching tennis, and being the school photographer at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Pomac, Md. While teaching, she spent most summers as a wilderness instructor at the North Carolina Outward Bound School. She is currently in the midst of a second career in professional photography speciallizing in family and child portraiture. Ruth has been singing in the chorale for over twenty years and has been a Board member since the merging of Masterworks Chorale and the National Chamber Orchestra established the National Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale. She chairs the Choral Operations Committee and is a chorale section leader. She lives in Clarksburg, MD and besides singing and tennis enjoys reading, learning the hammer dulcimer, and being a sports fan generall with a particular passion for college basketball. She studied at Duke University receiving both BA and Mdiv (Master of Divinity) degrees.
