Laurie Lane is the Patron Engagement and Advancement Officer. She has an extensive background in non-profit management, fundraising and advancement, and works closely with the CFO and all stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of NatPhil.
Prior to this role, she served as the Executive Assistant to the President, Jim Kelly, and worked as the Chorale Personnel Manager, working with Chorale Artistic Director Emeritus Stan Engebretson to support the logistical operations of the choir and serves as a liaison between the administrative staff and musicians. Additionally, she has also served as a production assistant to the Director of Artistic Operations. Laurie sings in The Washington Chorus and is an Alumni of the NatPhil Chorale and Baltimore Choral Arts Society and has been a section leader and soloist with various churches and organizations in the DMV. She sang Beethoven’s 9th with a 200-voice choir for the opening of the Kennedy Center’s The Reach, and has performed Mozart in the Salzburg Dom, The Amalfi Festival in Italy, Ely Cathedral, Atlantic Bridge Concert and as a soloist at The American Church in Paris. Laurie is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University and Peabody Institute of the John’s Hopkins University, having majored in Voice Performance. She also works with the Potomac Soccer Association and serves on several charitable boards and committees both in soccer and the arts.
