National Philharmonic stands in unity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community as it deals with the current wave of hate crimes and racism.
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are an integral part of our orchestra community and our country. We are dedicated to fighting all racism as part of our ongoing commitment to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion in our own organization, and in supporting our staff and musicians to do the same.
In November 2020, the National Philharmonic launched an internal and external effort to create dialogue around the importance of racial equity in classical music and our organization. Our first Harmonic Justice event showcased some of the year’s most inspiring performances with a panel discussion about racial equity. Our work is continuing, to reimagine the orchestral experience (and our own communities) to build a truly equitable future for America.
National Philharmonic relies on the generosity of its donors to continue bringing you the music. Your contribution is critical to our continued success.
