NatPhil’s 2024-2025 Season has something for everyone!

Join National Philharmonic as we return to the stage for our 40th Anniversary Season! The celebration begins on September 14, 2024 with Rachmaninoff Festival, featuring three outstanding pianists – Oleg Volkov, Daniil Trifonov, and Sergei Babayan – performing Rachmaninoff masterpieces under the baton of guest conductor Joseph Young. 

Experience the excitement, joy and passion of live music this subscription season at The Music Center at Strathmore. The 2024-2025 National Philharmonic Season will present:

  • Six distinguished guest conductors leading the NatPhil Orchestra.
  • Beloved classics from Rachmaninoff, Verdi, Handel, Chopin, and more.
  • Contemporary favorites from Margaret Bonds, Nkeiru Okoye, and more.
  • New and returning partnerships with Cantate and The Washington Chorus (TWC) for two exceptional chorale concerts – including a full-scale production of Verdi’s Requiem conducted by Cantate Artistic Director Victoria Gau in November and the world premiere of the symphonic orchestration of Rollo Dilworth’s Weather: Stand the Storm conducted by TWC Artistic Director Eugene Rogers in March.
  • The reunion of magnificent Messiah soloists Aundi Marie Moore, soprano; Lucia Bradford, mezzo soprano; Norman Shankle, tenor; and Jorell Williams, baritone, alongside Baltimore Choral Arts Society (BCAS), conducted by BCAS Music Director Anthony Blake Clark.
  • A new installment of pianist Brian Ganz‘s “Extreme Chopin Project” in celebration of the composer’s 215th birthday.
